She is more commonly known as Lena by her friends and as Handler One to her subordinates, and is an elite Republican soldier who rose to the rank of Major at the young age of 16. She is the commander of Shin and the Spearhead Squadron, whom she communicates with via the long-distance communication device known as the Para-RAID.

Codename: Undertaker
He is the field commander of Spearhead Squadron with the codename Undertaker. Having survived 5 years on the front lines, he is considered an elite Processor at the young age of 16. Among the Eighty-Sixers, he is famously known as the Reaper.
LT. Raiden Shuga
Codename: Wehrwolf
Raiden Shuga is the vice-commander of Spearhead Squadron, holding the rank of First Lieutenant. He is an elite Processor with 4 years of experience and holds the personal codename Wehrwolf. Having spent three years with Shin prior to joining Spearhead Squadron, Raiden is the closest to Shin out of the all members of the squadron.
ENS Theoto Rikka
Codename: Laughing Fox
Theoto Rikka is a Processor of the Spearhead Squadron. He is described as guileless and brutally honest in his thoughts.
He holds a grudge against most Alba but is willing to accept that there are some honorable ones due to a past experience in his first squadron, in which his Alba squadron leader refused to retreat to allow the rest of his Colorata comrades to escape. The dying squadron leader's final words to Theo had a profound impact and Theo adopted the leader's Personal Mark of a laughing fox.
ENS Kurena Kukumila
Codename: Gunslinger
Kurena is one of the members of Spearhead Squadron. An elite Processor, she has four years of experience on the Eastern Battlefront. She is one of the best sharpshooters in the squadron, perhaps only second to Shin.
Kurena admires Shin for bearing the burden of carrying the names and memories of his dead comrades with him. She resolves to help him carry his burden. In order to do so, she sharpens her shooting skills to be able to perform the same duties as Shin.
Sgt. Anju Emma
Codename: Snow Witch
While usually a graceful and modest girl, she reveals a ruthlessness on the battlefield comparable to any of the members of her squadron. Anju is also somewhat mischievous, conspiring with Kaie to tease Kurena about her affections for Shin.
